Akashi whiskey is the only whiskey in the world produced by a Toji (great master in the art of making sake) by implementing sake manufacturing methodologies in the whiskey production process. The distilled pot used is smaller than those used by Scottish and other Japanese distilleries, which in turn reduce fusel alcohol levels. As a result, Akashi whiskey does not require a long aging process, while its malt core is smooth and delicate.
